One of the most fundamental steps in using ACF Engine to build out features for a site is to create a custom post type (CPT) using the ACF Engine Post Type editor.
Post types are managed at WP Admin > ACF Engine > Post Types.
You'll notice the post types you setup with ACF Engine are themselves a type of post. Developers note, internally this is managed using the PostTypePostType class. Because of the use of standard posts with an ACF field group to manage your posts, the interface is standardizes like any custom post with ACF fields.
Every option provided by WordPress for post type registration is available as an option in the ACF Engine Post Type editor. These options are organized into tabs, and the vast majority are optional allowing for quick setup of a standard post type. If you find any option or combination of options not available, let us know.
